Continuing online live-streamed and recorded retreats

With the Easter season in full swing, the Diocese of Camden and the Office of Discipleship and Leadership are continuing their on-line programming that began during Holy Week, with a mix of live stream and recorded shows throughout the month of April.

Monday through Thursday of each week, new shows will be released at 8 p.m. on the Diocese of Camden social media:

·      www.facebook.com/DioceseOfCamden
·      twitter.com/camdendiocese
·      www.youtube.com/camdendiocese

If you missed any, all episodes are recorded and available on the diocesan Facebook and YouTube pages for viewing even after they’ve aired. However, if you watch the live-streams, you can ask questions of the hosts during the episodes.

ActsAfire

He is Risen and we have work to do! Join us as we explore the Acts of the Apostles in this Easter Season and learn from our first century sisters and brothers how to share the Joy of the Gospel. Our mission remains the same – “Go and Make Disciples of All Nations.” Each week we will explore a passage from Acts and find its application in our life today in the 21st century. Live-streamed Mondays with seminarian Deacon Peter Gallagher and Dan Palmieri.

Youth and Family

This series focuses on young people and their families. Come and join conversations on faith, love, grief, vocations and living as a young Catholic and as a Catholic family. Our host, Kari Janisse, brings a diverse guest list with equally diverse topics and ways to help us answer the universal call to holiness. Live-streamed Tuesdays with Kari Janisse, and rotating guests Father Joshua Nevitt, Rebekah Hardy, Kim Pesotski and Father Adam Cichoski. Each week will include worship music by Jeffrey Shields from Forgotten Truth.

Faith & Reason

Join us to explore these two great subjects and how, together, we arrive at truth, and how truth is the foundation of the Catholic faith. This is an opportunity for the people of God to explore the 2,000-year-old treasures given to us by Jesus Christ. Hosted on Thursdays with Father Jim Bartoloma and Father Jason Rocks

Four more one-episode shows will also be released this month:

Matthew 25 Alive

Explore this chance to learn more about Catholic social teaching and how the church seeks to care for the poor and afflicted members of the mystical body of Christ. Discover how the Gospel is forever timeless and how Jesus teaches us to love one another and how to love as He does. Host Mary McCusker chatted with her colleagues Kevin Hickey, executive director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden, and Sylvia Loumeau, director of Clinical Services at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden. This episode was recorded and posted on Wednesday, April 15.

Young Church

An intimate conversation with young adult ministers Star Martinez and Jose Rodriguez who discuss the millennial perspective on the Catholic faith and how it does and should interact with the reality of American culture. This episode was live-streamed on Wednesday, April 22.

Vocations Holy Hour

We’ll spend a prayerful hour with Father Adam Cichoski, vocations director for the Diocese of Camden, focused on encouraging more men to listen to God’s call to the priesthood. Live-streamed on Wednesday, April 29.

Fireside Chat w/ Bishop Dennis Sullivan

Our final April show of the month will be a fireside chat with Bishop Dennis Sullivan. Hosted by Donna Ottaviano-Britt, this chat will be focused on his view of the Catholic faith and the ever-changing times we are currently living in. Recorded and released on April 30.

Planning has already begun to bring this on-line series further in May with both new shows and continuing shows.
