Family one of eight awarded tickets to World Meeting of Families

The Cotto family from Mary Queen of All Saints Parish in Pennsauken is one of eight families that received tickets to attend the World Meeting of Families theological congress from September 22 – 25.
Bishop Dennis Sullivan awarded the families with tickets sponsored by Catholic Charities to attend the World Meeting of Families theological congress in Philadelphia. Applicants submitted an essay and references to be considered for tickets, and families were chosen based on several factors, including economic need and their representation of the Diocese of Camden’s entire geographic area, from Camden to Cape May counties.

“In our mission to reduce poverty, we see every day the integral role of the family in helping individuals attain their full potential,” said Kevin Hickey, executive director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden. “We want to do all we can to strengthen families, and we see this congress as a valuable opportunity for some of the families in our Diocese who are leaders in our community and who mighht not otherwise have the means to attend.”
