Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA) seeks a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. This full-time 12
month position will support the work of the Director of Facilities. The position will assist in the
general upkeep and ensure the infrastructure is safe and functional of our facilities and grounds,
with the ability to make repairs, and carry out maintenance processes with a keen eye for detail.
The candidate should have five plus years experience as a maintenance mechanic with
knowledge and understanding of all aspects of running a medium scale facility. This position
requires physical activity, the ability to climb ladders and move heavy objects.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma, a valid New Jersey Driver’s License with a clean
driving record and a low pressure black seal certification (or the ability to obtain it within six
months of employment). Required to submit a Criminal History background check, State of
New Jersey Sexual Misconduct/Child Abuse Clearance, (employment is conditional upon the
results of these inquires.) Participate in Virtus Training. An added bonus would be that the
candidate has an understanding of an all-girls school that celebrates both empowering our
students and our faith-based roots.
