In his 2024 Chrism Mass Homily, Bishop Sullivan spoke about the importance of being “Missionary” focused, explaining that the word “Missionary” should describe our approach to all pastoral ministry. In the spirit of assisting parishes to unpack Bishop Sullivan’s important message of a Missionary Approach to ministry and the importance of extending a personal Invitation, the Office of Evangelization is offering the workshop: Helping Others Say “YES” to Jesus by Emphasizing Our “Missionary” Focus
This 90-minute workshop will help attendees to:
• Understand the meaning of Missionary Discipleship
• Become more missionary focused.
• Learn practical ways to help lead others to say YES to Jesus’ call, and Yes to the needs of your parish community.
• Learn how to avoid “church-speak” and the conversational pitfalls that cause others to say “NO.”
• Learn how to explain your parish and diocesan resources clearly and effectively by emphasizing the features and benefits of resources.
